Indian dessert chain The Waffle Co. is set to open its second Canadian location on October 11 in White Rock, British Columbia, marking a significant step in its international expansion strategy.
This move comes 15 months after the brand made its Canadian debut in Surrey, BC in July 2024, which was also its first foray outside of India.
Speaking to Franchise India, Anand Singh, Co-founder of The Waffle Co., said, “This is a milestone for the company. Expanding further in Canada reaffirms the strength of our product and the growing love for our brand internationally.”
The Waffle Co., known for its artisanal waffles and dessert innovations, has quickly gained traction in the Canadian market and is now aiming to establish a stronger footprint across British Columbia.
With 150+ stores currently operating globally, the company has ambitious plans to build on its momentum. For the fiscal year 2026, The Waffle Co. is not only planning to open 60–70 more outlets across India, but also diversify its offerings with the launch of its own line of chocolate spreads and an entry into quick commerce platforms.
As part of its global growth roadmap, the brand is also eyeing expansion into the Gulf countries, further signaling its intent to become a key player in the international dessert café scene.
The new White Rock café promises the same vibrant, indulgent experience that has made The Waffle Co. a favorite among dessert lovers, both in India and now in Canada.
